We all know chickens have delicate respiratory systems – and herbs such as peppermint, mullein, spearmint, turmeric, plantain and more can help chickens cope with the dust and dirt of outdoor living. . . Which is why this week's sale is super fun – when you treat your hens to my respiratory herb blend, they'll get an extra 5 ounce bag of spearmint FREE! . . When you get a whiff if this stuff, you'll be a believer – every time I open a bag of spearmint, I have to sneak a smell, and immediately feel the benefits. Want one? Get it at the store today! I found this amazing photo on my I <3 Backyard Chickens Facebook Group. Chicken mama Julie King's hens and her cute huskies are getting along quite well. And they seem to not mind being close to each other. . . Are your dogs and hens the same? Are do they need to have more counseling? LOL. Let me know your thoughts in the comments! . . #chicken #hens #backyardchickenlove #backyardchicken #backyardhens #husky #huskies #huskiesofinstagram #chickensofinstagram

Cupcake or #chickentreat? 🤔 . It's for my chickens, of course! (Though I wish I could have some cupcakes now) . . Although my chickens look very healthy, I'm taking precautions and giving them MitesBGone in case there's any lurking. They're also getting oregano, because you can never give enough oregano (for it's health benefits) . . THIS WEEK ONLY, when you treat your hens to 20 ounces, 4 pounds, or 8 pounds of MitesBGone, you'll also get a FREE 5 ounce bag of Oregano! . You can mix the oregano with the MitesBGone, add it to their feed, or put it in the nesting boxes (where they'll try to nibble it anyway). . . MitesBGone contains a blend of herbs proven to repel mites, including garlic, wormwood, basil, and more – and it smells GREAT! . . MitesBGone comes both WITH and WITHOUT diatomaceous earth, which has shown in studies to slow the onslaught of external parasites like mites. #oregano #chickenfeed #chickencoop #herbsfromthegarden #freshherbs #farmtotable #farmher #homesteader #homesteadingit #homesteadforlife
