I think the only place free of mosquitoes on the farm is the chicken coop. And that's because I've been using PestsBGone in those corners and even in the nesting boxes to keep the flying insects away. I might just start using it in my bedroom, LOL! This week only, when you treat your hens to a 20 ounce bag of PestsBGone, your hens will also get a 5 ounce bag FREE! Nothing is worse than flying insects bothering your flock (and reducing egg laying)! Yep, hens can get bothered by bugs, and in some ways, it's worse for them because chickens are smaller than we are! This time of year, we mix PestsBGone with shavings so it covers the whole coop, and also add extra to corners and window sills to keep flies, mosquitoes, gnats, and other flying insects away. If you want to treat your hens to a 20 ounce bag of PestsBGone and get 5 ounces FREE (25% MORE!) then head on over to the store! ENDS SUNDAY! (Link in bio)

Here's the fresh scoop from the coop ( see what I did there? LOL) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We now have 3 hens sitting on eggs. I'm not sure how this happened, except I think my Blue Copper Marans hen has rubbed off on my Brahma (or the Brahma got smart and realized the roosters can't bother her if she stays in the nesting box).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They're both sitting on a LOT of eggs, so we might have 30 gazillion chicks soon.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mama Hen (who hatched chicks earlier this year) has decided to sit again. And I think she's only sitting on 2 eggs, LOL. She's picked a spot in an old shed we were going to upgrade into a chicken coop, so those plans are on hold for now. We've placed a waterer and feed near her because she doesn't seem the type to leave her nest EVER until the job is done.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are your ladies hard at work…AGAIN? LOL. How many eggs are they sitting on?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #bluecoppermarans #brahmachicken #brahmachickens #chicken #chickens #hen #hens #hensandchicks #backyardchicken #backyardchooks #chickensofig #chickensofinstagram #chickensofinstagram🐔 #layingeggs
